What Catholics Believe is a process of introduction and review of the basic beliefs of the Catholic Faith. At our parish this program is our Adult Confirmation Process. The twelve sessions of the program are media based and are interactive quizzes on the Catholic Faith.
Confirmation is the sacrament required to be a Godparent
and to celebrate the Sacrament of Matrimony.
Our classes will begin on Friday March 2nd at 6:30pm and
continue into May finishing before our parish celebration of
Confirmation on Sunday June 3rd.

LESSONS OF FAITH: Classes are completed for the rest of the
2011 year. They will resume on Jan. 10, 2012. Topic will be
announced in a future update.
ADULT FAITH FORMATION UPDATES
1st week of Advent - we will have a three week class on the origins and traditions of advent, of Christmastide, and epiphany. We will begin a series on the Father’s of the Church in the new year.
Parish Weekly Bible Study – we have begun with the same class described in the Lessons of Faith article on the New Translation of the Roman Missal for two
weeks. At the conclusion of the series on the New Missal we will begin the study of the Gospel of Mark that will continue into the new year.
Lessons of Faith – On Nov. 8th we started a two week class
on the New Translation of the Roman Missal.
1st Week of Advent - we will have a three week class on
the origins and traditions of Advent, of Christmastide, and
Epiphany. We will begin a series on the Fathers of the Church
in the new year.
Parish Weekly Bible Study – we have begun with the same
class described in the lessons of faith article on the New
Translation of the Roman Missal for two weeks. At the conclusion of the series on the New Missal we will begin the study of the Gospel of Mark that will continue into the new year.
Parish Catechesis on the New Translation of the Roman
Missal – TODAY, Sunday of Nov. 13 & 20 there will be a presentation after the English speaking Masses on the New Translation of the Roman Missal. On Sat., Nov. 19th, there will be the same presentation given after the 5pm Mass. All presentations will be in the McKeon Center.

Lessons of Faith – there is no class on Nov. 1st as that is the feast of All Saints, a holy day of obligation. There is a Mass at class time 11:00am in Serra Center. We have completed the History of the Mass.
The following week beginning Nov.8th, will be the start of a two week class on the New Translation of the Roman Missal. With the missal now available, these classes will be a more in depth look at the language, prayers and scriptural images and reasons for the translation. If you attended the previous classes don’t miss this short series!

Parish Weekly Bible Study – there will not be a class on Wed., Nov.2nd, as that is the feast of All Souls. There is the evening liturgy and procession scheduled for that evening at the same time. There will be classes on Thurs., Nov. 3rd. We have completed the Introduction to the Bible. Beginning that week we will offer the same classes described in the lessons of faith article on the New Translation of the Roman Missal for two weeks. With the missal now available, these classes will be a more in depth look at the language, prayers, and scriptural images and reasons for the translation. If you attended the previous classes don’t miss this short series! The Wednesday evening class will begin this series on Nov. 10.
