What About Training?

Training is provided at a one day workshop that discusses both theology and practical skills such as knowing how to hold and wipe the cup and how to hand out the hosts. Here is a link to the Diocean Policy on Eucharistic Ministers.

What About Time Commitment?

Eucharistic Ministers are given the opportunity to provide input into their individual schedules. EM's are scheduled about twice a month. Because of a continuing need for Eucharistic Ministers at Sunday and Holy Day masses, EM's are encouraged to check with the Mass Coordinator to see if their services are needed. At special times of the year, such as Christmas and Easter, sign-up sheets are posted in the Ministry Vestry.
