Our parish mission is to welcome |
The mission of Friendly Visitors is to visit the sick, disabled and lonely regardless of race or religion. Friendly Visitors visit the sick and lonely in hospitals, convalescent homes and private homes. We share the Eucharist, telephone homebound seniors regularly and participate in Christmas Fundraisers for needy families. SKILLS REQUIRED: Join us with a sincere desire to serve the needs of the lonely. Be willing to commit time once a week to visit each person. TRAINING: Professional support system provided and simple guidelines given to support appropriate sensitivities and behaviors when visiting. Our meetings include speakers on pertinent topics and an opportunity to share experiences, insights and challenges.
