Wedding Policy
Congratulations! You and your future spouse have fallen in love, and together you have discerned that God is calling you to commit yourselves to each other for the rest of your life. Now, you would like to look into celebrating your marriage at Mission San Luis Rey Parish Catholic Church!
After Reading Through The Above Information
After reading through these pages, please call to set up a time to meet with our priests or deacon. You will be asked to answer a "Foccus" questionaire which will help you and your future spouse to learn more about one another. At this first interview, you will be asked for some basic information (including your name and address, place of your baptism and confirmation) and to talk about why you wish to be married in the Catholic Church. You will also talk to our staff about about Marriage Preparation (Pre-Cana). Remember, during this process, our staff, priests and deacon are there to help you, and will answer your questions about your marriage. Although policy is always "dry" when it is written down, please be aware that these policies grow out of profound concern for the couple to be married, for the sacrament of Christian marriage and the good of society. Our hope is that couples will discover and reaffirm the faith they already have and are experiencing.
Again, our congratulations! May this preparation assist to strengthen and deepen that love as you continue on the journey together through the many blessings, changes and challenges Christian marriage offers today.
